23 Across, 5 Down
Not wishing to miss out on the bandwagon (I don't like being left out), I thought I'd post my own:
- Grab the nearest book.
- Open the book to page 23.
- Find the fifth sentence.
- Post the text of the sentence in your journal along with these instructions.
The outline of a man seemed to quiver in the light, the air was thicker inside it.
Saying where is came from is not in the rules, but I want to say where anywhere. The quote was taken from The Amber Spyglass, by Philip Pullman, part the His Dark Materials trilogy and well worth a look.
And for purists, that sentence is the fifth because the first sentence on the page starts on the page before, and one of the sentences is joined by a semi-colon (;) which means it's actually two.
Just so you know.
