The End
Of this year’s NaNoWriMo challenge at least. I didn’t complete the challenge, in fact I all but gave up in the last week or so, but nearly 6,000 people did, and are registered winners. Congratulations to everyone who took part. The collective word count, at least, when I checked it for this post, stood at 428,600,335. That’s a staggering amount. To give you an idea how big that is, the entire English-language version of Wikipedia is supposed to be around 118 million words, the Encyclopedia Britannica manages roughly 56 million and Oxford English Dictionary only four million words. And we managed all that in just 30 days.
Anyway, as promised, I have uploaded my NaNoWriMo entry for all to see. It’s not complete, obviously, and all I’ve done is run through it to eliminate spelling mistakes and typos. Other than that it’s as I wrote it, the first draft, warts and all.
Enjoy.
